The End of Summer

It finally happened...the pool in our neighborhood is too cold to swim in. Ryder and I met our friends Suzanna and Davis there yesterday and it was quite CHILLY! Davis jumped right in and swam like a little fish. Ryder was much more hesitant and opted to sit on the top step and play with his toys. I finally got him to swim a little, but he wasn't too thrilled about having to do it. This was a wonderful summer for the Marks family. We made a lot of new friends, Ryder learned to swim, we took some great vacations, and we had a blast watching Ryder grow and learn.

Here are the top 10 things that I am going to miss the most:

10. The sight of my Vera Bradley beach bag waiting in our back hallway
9. Buying Ryder cute little flip flops and listening to them walking around the house
8. Picking out new pool toys with Ryder every time we went to Target
7. Having a sure thing to do every afternoon...swim
6. Having a great tan
5. Hearing Ryder and Davis giggle at the bucket
4. Ryder waking up from nap and asking for the "Poo" and "Da-Dis"
3. The smell of Coppertone Sunblock
2. Ryder's precious little swimsuit tanline. He had such a white bootie!
1. Making great memories with my lil and all of our friends.

Here are the pics from our last chilly swimday...

I took Ian, Jenny's oldest, to the pool Saturday and it was soooo cold. But I was determined to get in with him and not miss a moment of time :) so I did, and wouldn't trade it for all the goosebumps in the world~
